ABOUT US

Meet Bel Masterman

Principal Therapist

Hi, I’m Bel. the principal therapist at The Brain Coach. My life’s work has been a journey of helping people find their own path to inner freedom.

I actually began my career far from the world of therapy, as a journalist, led by a love of stories and a deep curiosity about people. Over time, I realised that what truly lit me up wasn’t just telling stories, but supporting people through the emotional struggles that kept them from living authentically. That insight was a turning point, and I knew I wanted to dedicate my life to helping others reconnect with their true selves.

That calling led me into therapy, where I now bring together my passion for understanding people with a holistic, evidence-based approach to healing. I trained as an EMDR trauma counsellor and hypnotherapist, and have since added a wide range of modalities, including Internal Family Systems (IFS), Inner Health Coalition training, and the Polyvagal Safe and Sound Protocol and more.

I’m here to walk alongside you as you unhook from the past and step into a freer, more meaningful future.

Giving Back Philosophy

At The Brain Coach, we believe everyone deserves the chance to heal and find inner freedom no matter their financial circumstances or personal history.

Compassion is at the heart of our work, and we’re committed to extending that care not only to our paying clients but also to those who need it most.

As part of this commitment, we dedicate 5% of all services to pro bono therapeutic sessions. These sessions are reserved for individuals on low incomes or those escaping domestic violence and other harmful relationships. It’s our way of giving back and making sure our most vulnerable community members can access the safe, supportive, and life-changing care they deserve.
